Jo Litson is a freelance arts writer and the arts editor and theatre reviewer for Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph. During a 25-year career she has been a contributor to publications including The Australian, The Bulletin, Limelight magazine, the Qantas magazine, POL Oxygen and the Sydney Theatre Company’s Backstage magazine among many others.
She was arts editor of Vogue Australia for several years and edited the Australia Council magazine Artforce. Other commissions include writing the extended labels for the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW for around 20 years and writing the programs and media kits for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006.
Jo was also an on-screen reporter for the ABC-TV arts magazine program Review for a couple of years.
She has a BA (Hons) in English/Drama from Birmingham University in the UK. Oh, and she loves cricket.
